DR BRADLEY BREDEKAMP

Dr Bradley Bredekamp is a Specialist in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, practising between KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and England. With more than two decades of clinical experience, he has developed extensive expertise in periodontology, oral surgery, dental implantology and advanced treatment planning. He is recognised for combining clinical excellence with a compassionate, patient-centred approach and remains committed to advancing periodontal care through education, mentorship and evidence-based practice.

In this SASPIO Professional Webinar, “Periodontal Plastic Surgery – Why Do It?”, Dr Bredekamp explored the principles and clinical applications of periodontal plastic surgery in modern dental practice. The presentation highlighted the role of soft tissue grafting and mucogingival procedures in improving gingival health, managing recession defects, enhancing implant aesthetics and supporting long-term treatment outcomes. Delegates gained practical insight into case selection, treatment planning and the benefits of periodontal plastic surgery for both functional stability and aesthetic success.
